Aim:

• To perform the mid surface extracting and 2d shell meshing of the given component and obtain the 100% quality certeria and assign the proper thickness of the component

Quality certeria

PROCEDURE OF MID SURFACE EXTRACTION:

• STEP:1 IMPORT THE MODEL AND VIUALIZE THE 2D TOPO
• STEP:2 CLEAR THE ALL FREE EDGE BY USING THE CUT,RELEASE,DELETE IN HOT POINT AND CONS
• STEP:3 CHECK NO FREE EDGE & 3 SURFACE ASSOCITATED SURFACE LINE
• STEP:4 USE MID SURFACE APPRAPERIATE SELECTION METHOD
• STEP :5 CHECK ANY SURFACE GILITICHES ARE FOUND AND CLEAR IT

CHECKING THE MODEL IF UNIFORM THICKNESS OR NOT

• Before gone to take mid surface you first check the model by check manger
• 
• After check manager gives a green signal we check the given model is uniform thickness or not. it done by measurement between two nodes.for measurement of node go to measurement>node>
• 
• After measuring the various area of the component we decide the given component are non uniform thickness so, we do the manual offset method for the mid surface extracting
• 
• same like this we measure the thickness between various  two surface and extract the manually

• After the completing the mid surface create lock view of mid surface as shown image and orient surface in out side is gray

Procedure to mashing the component

• Once mid surface is coompleing means the next step is Discretization. dividing the big structural into small small piece as name of node and element
• First upload the certria file as question mentioned press F11
•  meshing is not carried out by singel shot it make more trias and faling elements also it very deficulty  possiable for rectifying the error elemts 
•  meshing always do the surf by surf it make good flow and reduce the error elements
• after the complete the mesh the mesh look given below
• 
• After meshing completed we have to create the property by using the key Ctrl+P and assign the orignal thicknes of the surfaces
•  
• then to view the assign thickness go to the F11 and select shell soild
• 
• IN THE SAME WAY ALL PERFORMANCE IS CARRIED OUT IN PART MODEL ALSO

RESULT and learning out comes

• In this assignment welearn the various technique of midsurface extraction, shell meshing,quality fixing and mesh flow allignment
• Model evaluation Requirements- Proper Mid surfacing, Good Mesh Flow, No OFF elements, Thickness Assignment
•  model with and without Topo cleanup, FE model with and without enabling thickness, checks, etc
